Origin: A borrowing from Greek. Etymon: Greek περιηγητικός.
Etymology: < Hellenistic Greek περιηγητικός belonging to or befitting a periegete, descriptive < περιηγητής periegete n. + -ικός -ic suffix (compare exegetic adj.). Compare periegesis n. and periegete n.
