Etymology: < perfectible adj. + -ity suffix: see -bility suffix. Compare post-classical Latin perfectibilitas (13th cent. in British sources), French perfectibilité (1755), Italian perfettibilitá (a1784), German Perfektibilität (1772 or earlier).
1. Capability of being perfected or brought to a state of perfection; esp. the capacity of humanity to progress towards physical, mental, or moral perfection.
