Etymology: < classical Latin pēierāt-, past participial stem (compare -ate suffix3) of pēierāre to swear falsely (see perjure v.). Compare slightly earlier pejeration n., perjurate v., and also perjure v.
Obsolete. rare. Apparently only attested in dictionaries or glossaries.
intransitive. To renege; to commit perjury.
