Etymology: < pedicure n. + -ist suffix. Compare earlier pedicurism n. at pedicure n. Derivatives and chiropodist n., and later manicurist n.
A person who is responsible for the medical or surgical care of the feet and toenails, or (now more usually) for their cosmetic treatment; = pedicure n. 1. Cf. chiropodist n.
