The material..was taken to Señor Antenor Riza Patron, metallurgist of the Huaraucacar smelter, nine miles from Cerro de Pasco... It is suggested, in appreciation of the work of the discoverer of the material, Señor Antenor Riza Patron, that it be given the name ‘patronite’.
1922 Amer. Jrnl. Sci. 203 200 The real patronite is a black mineral of fine grain and metallic luster. In polished section it is shown to consist of a very fine-grained mixture of three minerals.
