Compare earlier pedunculated adj.In pedunculate oak after scientific Latin Q. pedunculata (1812 or earlier) or French chêne pédonculé (1812 or earlier). N.E.D. (1904) gives the pronunciation as (pĭdɒ·ŋkiŭlĕt) /pɪˈdʌŋkjʊlət/.
