Etymology: Short for Paracale buntal, Parañaque buntal, Parang buntal, or Parasan buntal, weaves of buntal originating from Paracale, Parañaque, Parang, or Parasan, towns in Luzon and rural Southern Philippines where the straw is traditionally woven, after balibuntal n. Compare earlier balibuntal n.

A type of fine straw used to make hats. Also more fully paribuntal straw. Cf. balibuntal n.
