Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymon: Latin palmāria.
Etymology: < classical Latin palmāria, neuter plural of palmāris palmar adj.Listed in Cent. Dict. (1890) in the singular form palmare, and in Webster's Internat. Dict. Eng. Lang. (1890) in the analogical singular form palmarium.
Zoology. Obsolete. rare.
With plural agreement. The palmars (ossicles) in the arm of a crinoid (see palmar adj. 1).
