Origin: A borrowing from Greek, combined with English elements. Etymons: pan- comb. form, Greek ἴσος , -ic suffix.
Etymology: < pan- comb. form + ancient Greek ἴσος equal (see iso- comb. form) + -ic suffix. N.E.D. (1904) gives the pronunciation as (pænəi·sik) /pæˈnaɪsɪk/.
Obsolete. rare.
Relating to a form of social organization in which all are equal; = Pantisocratic adj.
