1964 Harvard Stud. Classical Philol. 68 318 A fresco in the Villa of the Mysteries on the outskirts of Pompeii depicts a seated Panisca with pointed ears who suckles a fawn which stands beside her.
1984 Amer. Jrnl. Archaeol. 88 379/2 The pointed ears, leafy crown and nebris which slips from her shoulders suggest that she is some semi-human nature daimon, perhaps a Panisca.
