Origin: A borrowing from Spanish. Etymon: Spanish pandero.
Etymology: < Spanish pandero (c1330), probably < post-classical Latin pandorium (see bandurria n.). Compare pandeiro n.
Any of various tambourines (often without jingles) of Spain, Latin America, or the Spanish-speaking Caribbean. Cf. pandeiro n.
