Etymology: < Italian †pagodi (1554 as both singular and plural), perhaps originally an inferred singular of pagodi , plural of †pagode pagoda n.In quot. 1847 at sense 1 probably an alteration of pagoda n., with ending remodelled after -y suffix3 or -y suffix6.
Obsolete. rare.
