Etymology: < post-classical Latin oviculatus (a1710 in the source translated in quot. 1789; < oviculum (see ovicular adj.) + -atus -ate suffix2) + -ed suffix1. Compare French ovicule small egg-shaped ornament, in architecture (1642).
Chiefly Architecture. rare.
Decorated with egg-shaped ornaments; having egg-shaped markings.
