Etymology: < classical Latin ōri-, combining form of ōr-, ōs mouth (see oral adj.) + facial adj. N.E.D. (1903) gives the pronunciation as (ǫrifēi·ʃăl) /ɒrɪˈfeɪʃəl/.
Obsolete. rare.
1. Anatomy. orifacial angle n. the angle which the facial line (of Camper) makes with the plane of mastication.

1803 J. Barclay New Anat. Nomen. vi. 153 As the palatine plate is either parallel, or nearly parallel to the plane of the mouth, the angle formed by that plane and the facial line may also be taken, and distinguished from the others by the name of the ori-facial angle.
