Etymology: Apparently < orgas- (in orgasm n.) + -t- + -ic suffix, by analogy with sarcasm n. and sarcastic adj., spasm n. and spastic adj., etc. Compare French orgastique (1873; 1803 in antiorgastique anti-orgastic adj.).
