单词 otherlike
释义

otherlikeadj.n.

Origin: Apparently formed within English, by compounding. Etymons: other adj., like adj.
Etymology: Apparently < other adj. + like adj. Compare suchlike pron.Apparently the two adjectives written as one word, an orthographic form attested occasionally in the 17th and early 18th centuries, probably after earlier adjectival formations as e.g. otherkins adj., and otherwise adj. (although these are all antonyms of otherlike). However, it is not clear whether this form represents an example of a print convention, a genuinely lexicalized use modelled on earlier forms mentioned above, an occasional error, or a combination of all three.
Obsolete.
Similar; the like. Also as n.: something similar.
