1955 Amer. Mineralogist 40 66 Ordoñezite occurs as drusy or stalactitic masses of repeatedly twinned tetragonal crystals having a maximum size of 2 mm.

2002 Canad. Mineralogist 40 1207 A new occurrence of the rare mineral species ordonezite has been found at the Theodoso Soto tin mine, near Sapioris, Durango, Mexico.
