Etymology: < classical Latin ōrātor orator n. + -ic suffix, after ultimately Greek formations such as historic adj., rhetoric adj. Compare post-classical Latin oratoricus rhetorical (1271 in a British source), and earlier oratorical adj.1
Now rare.
