Origin: A borrowing from Greek, combined with an English element. Etymons: osteo- comb. form, Greek κλάσις.
Etymology: < osteo- comb. form + ancient Greek κλάσις fracture (see -clase comb. form). Compare earlier diaclasis n. With sense 2 compare earlier osteoclast n. 1.
