Any member of a mainly Cretaceous group of bipedal theropod dinosaurs (infraorder Ornithomimosauria), including ornithomimids, whose light build, long hindlimbs, and typically toothless, beak-like jaws resemble those of an ostrich. Dinosaurs 44/3 Ornithomimosaur remains are reasonably abundant in late Cretaceous rocks of Western North America and East Asia. 1993 Sci. Amer.
