Etymology: < French ophryon (P. Broca 1875, in Bull. de la Soc. d'Anthropol. de Paris 10 360) < ancient Greek ὀϕρύς eyebrow (see Ophrys n.) + -ον , neuter singular ending, perhaps after French dacryon dacryon n.

A point in the forehead at the middle of an imaginary line joining the upper margins of the orbits of the eyes.
