Origin: A borrowing from Greek. Etymon: Greek νοσῶδες.
Etymology: < ancient Greek νοσῶδες unhealthy thing, use as noun of neuter singular of νοσώδης unhealthy, unwholesome < νόσος disease (see noso- comb. form) + -ώδης -ode comb. form1.
Alternative Medicine.
A homeopathic preparation made from infected tissue or discharge produced during the course of a disease, used in the treatment of the disease in question or a related condition.
