A member of a subdivision of the southern Bantu-speaking peoples, living mainly in southern Africa, all of whom have a common historical origin and speak closely related languages.The south-eastern region inhabited by the Nguni is now covered by KwaZulu-Natal and the north-eastern parts of the Eastern Cape.
