单词 | neutralino |
释义 | neutralinon. Particle Physics. Any of several particles postulated in supersymmetric theory as neutral fermion counterparts of gauge bosons and Higgs bosons. ΚΠ 1985 Physics Rep. 117 90 (table) Mass eigenstates can be different from weak eigenstates when several states can mix. In practice this matters especially for spin ½ partners of gauge bosons and Higgs bosons (i.e. the gauginos and higgsinos), and for some scalar partners. In general the charged spin 1/ 2 mass eigenstates are called charginos.., and the neutral spin 1/ 2 mass eigenstates are called neutralinos. 1993 Science 5 Nov. 847/2 Cold (slow-moving) dark matter..would consist of esoteric—and so far hypothetical—particles such as axions or neutralinos. 1995 New Scientist 20 May 18/3 The neutralino is unusual among supersymmetric particles in that it does not have a direct partner in the family of ordinary particles. 1999 Physics Lett. B. 446 75 (title) Search for charginos, neutralinos and gravitinos in e+ e− interactions at √s = 183 GeV. This is a new entry (OED Third Edition, September 2003; most recently modified version published online March 2022). < n.1985 |
