Any of several particles postulated in supersymmetric theory as neutral fermion counterparts of gauge bosons and Higgs bosons.

In practice this matters especially for spin ½ partners of gauge bosons and Higgs bosons (i.e. the gauginos and higgsinos), and for some scalar partners. In general the charged spin 1/ 2 mass eigenstates are called charginos.., and the neutral spin 1/ 2 mass eigenstates are called neutralinos.
