Etymology: < French neurotisation (C. Vanlair 1882, in Arch. de biol. 3 438) < neurotiser neurotize v. + -ation -ation suffix).
Physiology.
Regeneration of a severed or damaged nerve; (also) spontaneous regrowth or surgical provision of nerve in an area of tissue; reinnervation.
