1958 Lancet 8 Nov. 971/1 In carcinomatous neuropathy the nervous system may be affected at many levels in the same patient, and muscles may also be involved: precise classification is therefore difficult. We have recently been using the term carcinomatous neuromyopathy to describe the whole group.
1967 Brain 90 67 This characteristic clinical syndrome is due to combined nerve and muscle lesions and for this reason, these authors prefer to restrict the term ‘neuromyopathy’ to this particular condition.
