Origin: Formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: neuro- comb. form, -oid suffix.
Etymology: < neuro- comb. form + -oid suffix. Compare ancient Greek νευρώδης sinewy, τὸ νευρώδες the nervous system, Hellenistic Greek νευροειδής sinewy, τὸ νευροειδές ( > classical Latin neuroīdes) a kind of beet or beet-like plant.

Resembling or analogous to a nerve, other neural structure, nervous system, or neurotransmission.
