Etymology: Shortened < post-classical Latin nemine dissentiente (see nemine dissentiente adv.), as a graphic abbreviation. Compare slightly later nemine dissentiente adv.
Now rare.
Esp. with reference to a motion carried: (with) no one dissenting. Cf. nem. con. adv.
