A ribosyl derivative of adenine, isolated from the fungus Clitocybe nebularis, which has antibiotic properties and can act as a nucleoside analogue; 9-β- d-ribofuranosyl-9H-purine, C10H12N4O4. Tidskr. 58 270 The active principle found by us in A[garicus] (Clitocybe) nebularis Batsch seems to be non-enzymatic in nature, and it has a specific antibiotic effect on Mycobacteria and on Brucella abortus.
