In golf: a three-part bet on the winner of the first nine holes, the second nine holes, and the match. More fully Nassau bet.The bet takes its name from a system of scoring in golf introduced c1900 at the Nassau Country Club, in which one point each is awarded to the winner of the first nine holes, of the second nine holes, and of the whole round.
