单词 | myosinogen |
释义 | myosinogenn. Biochemistry. Now historical. A water-soluble protein or mixture of proteins extracted from muscle and formerly believed to be a precursor of myosin. Cf. myogen n. ΚΠ 1887 W. D. Halliburton in Jrnl. Physiol. 8 153 If, on the pattern of the word fibrinogen, we call the precursor of myosin, myosinogen, it is seen from the foregoing experiments that the myosinogen in muscle-plasma evidently consists of two proteids. 1887 W. D. Halliburton in Jrnl. Physiol. 8 183 The name myosinogen was suggested by Nasse. 1896 T. C. Allbutt et al. Syst. Med. I. 171 Several very important albuminous substances, for example, myosinogen and fibrinogen, are coagulated at 56° C. 1933 S. W. Cole Pract. Physiol. Chem. (ed. 9) viii. 199 Filter off the coagulum of paramyosinogen and heat again. Another and larger coagulum of myosinogen occurs at 57° C.
