Origin: Formed within English, by compounding; modelled on a Latin lexical item. Etymons: myo- comb. form, -graphy comb. form.
Etymology: < myo- comb. form + -graphy comb. form, after post-classical Latin Myographia, in the title of G. Quarré Myographia, Heroico Versu Explicata (1638). In sense 2 after myograph n. Compare French myographie (1750 in sense 1; in sense 2, E. J. Marey 1871 in Comptes rendus de l'Acad. des Sci. 73 919).
