Origin: Of multiple origins. A borrowing from Russian. Etymon: Russian Mukuzani.
Etymology: < Russian Mukuzani (1924 or earlier) < Georgian Muk'uzani (k' is an ejective velar plosive) < Muk'uzani, the name of the district in K'akheti, Georgia, where the grapes used for this wine are cultivated.The wine has been in production since 1888.
A dry red wine from the Republic of Georgia.
