Origin: Probably formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: morbid adj., -ility suffix.
Etymology: Probably < morb- (in morbid adj.) + -ility suffix. Compare morbidity n.Compare German Morbilität (1872 in passage translated in quot. 1876), and the following:1876 J. Van Duyn & E. C. Seguin tr. E. L. Wagner Man. Gen. Pathol. 70 (note) The German word morbilität is so correct a name for the condition that we venture to offer its literal translation as a new English medical term.
