释义 | † moroxylicadj. Chemistry. Obsolete. moroxylic acid n. a substance isolated from the bark of the white mulberry, Morus alba; (probably) morin. Cf. moric adj. ΚΠ 1804 M. H. Klaproth in Jrnl. Nat. Philos. Feb. 132 We may therefore provisionally give it the name of moroxylic acid, and the calcareous salt containing it that of moroxylate of lime. 1807 T. Thomson Syst. Chem. (ed. 3) II. 274 A peculiar acid, which he [sc. Klaproth] called moroxylic. 1821 W. T. Brande Man. Chem. (ed. 2) III. 107 The moroxylate of lead thus obtained decomposed by dilute sulphuric acid, furnished a solution of moroxylic acid. 1839 Penny Cycl.
