A. n.
A member of a Pathan people partly inhabiting the mountainous region of Pakistan and eastern Afghanistan to the north of the Khyber Pass, and partly settled in the plains of the Peshawar district of Pakistan. Also (rare): the dialect of Eastern Pashto spoken by this people.
