Etymology: Variant of mixen n. Surv. Eng. Dial. records the form /mɪskɪn/ from Staffordshire and Warwickshire in the sense ‘ash-midden’, and from Warwickshire in the sense ‘earth-closet’.
English regional (chiefly south-west midlands) and Welsh English.
A dunghill or dungheap; a midden; = mixen n. 1.
