Etymology: < post-classical Latin mirabiliarius miracle-monger (used by St Augustine of the Donatists) < classical Latin mīrābilis (see marvel n.1) + -ārius -ary suffix1. Compare mirabiliarian adj.With the use as adjective compare the post-classical Latin phrase contra Mirabiliarios Papistas (1574 in a work title).
