Χ2; also as micro cosmetor) < ancient Greek μικρο- micro- comb. form + κοσμήτωρ commander, leader, in Hellenistic Greek also ‘guide, director’ ( < κοσμεῖν to order, arrange ( < κόσμος cosmos n.1) + -τωρ, suffix forming agent nouns), after microcosm n.
