Origin: Formed within English, by compounding; modelled on a French lexical item. Etymons: meco- comb. form, -graphy comb. form.
Etymology: < meco- comb. form + -graphy comb. form, after French mécographie (in source translated in quot. 1603 at sense 1). N.E.D. (1906) gives the pronunciation as (mikǫ·grăfi) /miːˈkɒɡrəfɪ/.
Obsolete. rare.
