meeklyadv.

Brit. /ˈmiːkli/, U.S. /ˈmikli/
Forms: see meek adj. and -ly suffix2; also Middle English mekkeli, Middle English mikelik, Middle English moeklych, Middle English muekliche, Middle English meokeluker (comparative); Scottish pre-1700 mekilly.
Origin: Formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: meek adj., -ly suffix2.
Etymology: < meek adj. + -ly suffix2. Compare Old Icelandic mjúkliga softly, gently, mildly, Old Swedish miuklika mildly. The Middle English form muekliche is Kentish; the unusual spelling in ue perhaps indicates the development of a glide vowel after the initial labial consonant (the development of such consonantal glides is a characteristic feature of the Kentish dialect of Middle English: see further P. Gradon Dan Michel's Ayenbite of Inwyt (1979) 25–9).
In a meek or humble manner.
