Etymology: < post-classical Latin mechalis adulterous, lewd (from c1000 in British sources) < classical Latin moechus adulterer ( < ancient Greek μοιχός , cognate with ὀμείχειν to urinate: see mig n.1) + -ālis -al suffix1.
Obsolete. rare.
Adulterous.Only recorded in the works of Thomas Heywood.
