Origin: Formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: medley v., -ed suffix1; medley n., -ed suffix2.
Etymology: In quot. 1480 either < medley v. + -ed suffix1 or < medley n. + -ed suffix2, translating Middle French meslé (see medley n. and adj.). In later use < medley v. + -ed suffix1.
Intermixed, intermingled.
