Etymology: < post-classical Latin margineus (rare; < classical Latin margin- , margō margin n. + -eus : see -eous suffix) + -an suffix; compare -ean suffixPost-classical Latin margineus is recorded in Blount, s.v. Marginean, and in one of the sources for his work: J. Rider Bibliotheca scholastica, a double dictionarie for those that would have the vse of the Latin tongue (1589).
Obsolete. rare. Apparently only attested in dictionaries or glossaries.
