Chiefly English regional (northern). Obsolete.
Submissive to or respectful of authority; able to be restrained or disciplined; obedient.Later evidence is found predominantly in the North Riding of Yorkshire.In quot. 1595 the use of the negative unawebound may imply earlier use in a more general sense ‘overwhelmed or constrained by awe’.
