Etymology: < Anglo-Norman maniable, mainable, meynable palpable, tangible, and Middle French maniable (mid 12th cent. in Old French in sense ‘agile, nimble’, 1275–80 in sense 2a, 1476 in sense 1, 1538 in sense 2b) < Anglo-Norman and Old French manier to handle (see manner n.) + -able -able suffix.
Obsolete.
