Etymology: < mane n.1 + -less suffix.
Of an animal, esp. a male lion: having no mane.maneless lion (of Gujarat) n. Obsolete the Asiatic lion, Panthera leo persica, now confined to the Gir Forest, Gujarat, India, the male of which tends to have a scanty mane.
