1. = mandible n. 1.Mandibula remains the name of the bone in Nomina Anatomica (1989), and is also used, in the genitive, in the scientific Latin names of parts of the bone and of its muscles, nerves, etc., but is otherwise rare in texts from English-speaking countries.
