majimbon.

Brit. /məˈdʒɪmbəʊ/, U.S. /məˈdʒɪmboʊ/, East African English /maˈdʒimbo/

Etymology: < Swahili majimbo < ma-, plural class prefix + jimbo district, also specifically ‘electoral district, constituency’ (in this use also more fully majimbo ya uchaguzi, lit. ‘districts of election’).
In Kenya: a system of government in which authority is devolved to local or regional administrative bodies.During debates in the 1960s about the structure of the Kenyan political system after independence, the constitutional philosophy of regionalism or majimbo was contrasted, often contentiously, with arguments in favour of a centralized state.
