Etymology: < post-classical Latin magnum bonum a great good, a large good thing < classical Latin magnum , neuter singular of magnus great (see magni- comb. form) + bonum , neuter singular of bonus good (see bonus n. and int.) after classical Latin summum bonum summum bonum n.
